*"Medium" proves that mom knows everything*

- This article about Patricia Arquette who act as psychic sleuth Allison DuBois in "Medium". She has big family which her grandfather was comedian, her father was actor, and her siblings became actors. Then, she has lots of feelings about death. Because her mother and father have died same time and a lot of friends died young. Moreover, she said that she felt like she was intimate with Allison who is main character in "Medium". Then, she talked about her ideal partner who is Jake Weber. She said that he is really genuine actor and she can notice about why Allison loves Joe or why Allison and Joe are together. She said that "Self-awareness is elusive" could be an basic theme of "Medium".

#Personal Response

- First time, I choose this article because of pirture which in pretty woman. Then, I thought about this woman is writer. However, she is actress of "Medium". First of all, this article made me want to watch this program. Even I found this program's website. I think that her character in "Medium" is not easy. Because this character is psychic sleuth. Actually, I hate about ghost or psychic. Nobody likes this knid of thing. But she said that familiar with this character and she has lots of thinking about death. Then , she said that "Self-awareness is elusive." Totally I agree this saying. Because until now, I can't notice about my self-awareness. Anyway, I want to watch this drama as soon as possible.

Book Club Report 4

Title of Book - The Chocolate War
Pages in the book - 263 I am now on pag 78 I read 25 pages this week.
I understand about 70% of what I read.


1. I would like Jerry for my friends. Until now, I know about Jerry a little bit. However, other person who except Jerry have a bad personality in this book. Jerry is a freshman at Trinity High School. If also my friends are freshman, Jerry and my friends become a good friend each other. Because almost freshman want to make new friend in the school. Moreover, I read about Jerry's family story on chapter 9. His mother had died in the spring. He live with his father. Someone who their parents died early know that how to endure their sorrow or depression. Also, they know that how to live without other's helping. Moreover, they can think about person's value or life deeply. Of course there are lots of bad point. However, I think that person who their parents died early become possessed of discretion. I think that Jerry has these good point. Therefore, Jerry is good for my friends.

*Retired carpenter offers hot soup, warm smile to homeless on Seattle's Capitol Hill*

- Bill Pond who retired carpenter parks his green truck twice a week on Broadwas Avenue East a boarded-up Jack in the Box. He offers soup, sandwiches, juice, and chips to the homeless. He service to the homeless by himself. Not include in church or social service agency. He pays for it out of his own pocket, such as collecting and recycling aluminum cans to help offset some of the cost. WHY HE SERVICE TO THE HOMELESS BY HIMSELF ? He start this about 18 months ago when he rejected an overture from a street person. And he didn't want to give money to street person. So he had feed street person. The man gratefully accepted, gobbled down the burger, then another, and Pond's one-man feeding program began. Then, burgers were out as too expensive. Instead, Pond mulled over issues of quantity and cost and chose homemade soup. The important thing is his mind. He said " I'm just really happy inside doing this. It just makes me feel really good. It's my way of giving back. I've never been homeless, but I've been down so I know how these people feel."

# My opinion

- If I were him, I can't service to the homeless by myself. This is really tired, great sacrifice of time , and great deal of money. Then, I surprised to his saying. He said that this service makes him happy. This is reason about why are you service to the homeless. Moreover, his son already knows about his father's personality. Real giving guy and just generous with everything he has. Nowadays, we know just ourselves. we don't care of other people. Because we don't have time and sometimes we think that this is waste of time. So, I think that Bill Pond is really nice and respectable person. After read this article, I want to go this way which is on Broadway Ave East. Then, If i have enough time and money, I will be alike him.
